Representing Lovely

On Friday, March 31st, VOX will be presenting my very first short film:
Youth of Sarajevo: After the Aftermath (1999; 22 min.)
This is a very personal account of the Bosnian conflict (1992-1995).
It is presented in a way that makes it more easily accessible to someone
that might not have been able to grasp the complexity of it all, especially
with the media often complicating matters even more.
Shortly after the siege of Sarajevo was lifted in late 1995 and sniper alleys
lost their deadly charms, news coverage died out. Every once in a while
there would be a story about the unearthing of another mass grave site
or the capture of someone bound for the Hague War Crimes Tribunal...
But what about those that survived? How has the war impacted their lives?
At the time, I felt that the world was beginning to forget...and forget fast.
Youth of Sarajevo: After the Aftermath is my humble contribution in increasing
awareness about this tragedy that consumed my country, and its affects
on young people...those who didn’t choose the war, but still had to deal with it.

To prepare yourself better for the film, may I suggest you take a look here:
