Recognized by many from her Wet’n’Wild Fresh Face make-up campaign as the DJ with extraordinary beauty, Valida is both an accomplished DJ and Model. Globally featured in magazine articles for her skills on the turntables and unique looks, Valida has appeared in countless magazines including, URB, Fader, XLR8R, BPM, Lemonade, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire and Lucky Magazine to name a few. With her uncanny ability to spin a diverse mix of hip hop, soul, classics, rock, house, b-more, electro, dancehall and reggaeton. Valida’s fate has been sealed as one of world’s top female DJs .

Originally from Sarajevo, Valida emigrated to the United States to pursue higher education. Completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in World Arts and Cultures (UCLA), and a Master of Arts degree in Dance Ethnography and Video Production (UCLA), Valida has always been in pursuit of expressing her love for music, dance, and visual arts.

In late 2001, after the release of Concentric Beats, her feature documentary “love-letter to the drum’n’bass scene” (URB mag) Valida co-founded what XLR8R Magazine aptly described as “one of the most righteous weekly club spots in town” Proper* at Hollywood’s Star Shoes. For three years, Proper promoted a diverse mix of music, both classic and new and featured local DJ resident heroes: Coleman, Rashida, Azul, Paris, Phers1, and MCs Kemst, Ghost, Zaz, and singer Mia Victoria.

From playing with Bebel Gilberto to her guest appearances at Miami’s Winter Music Conference, Mystique in Kuala Lumpur, Budoir in Dubai, Nuphoria event in Tokyo, Candela Party in Puerto Rico, Mexico’s Organic Party, and her native Bosnia, Valida has shared decks all across the globe with the likes of A-Trak, Justice, DJ Mehdi, Madlib, PBW, J-Rocc, DJ Mitsu, Mark Ronson, DJ Spider, Stonerokk, Yam Who?, Domu, Quantic, Seiji, Afronaught, Osunlade, Vikter Duplaix, Dixon, Jurgen (Jazzanova), Dj Language, John Beltran, John Arnold, Paris’ DJ Yellow… etc…
